    Hi guys,

Is there a guide to taking apart the laptop to repaste cpu thermal compound? What is the recommended paste I should be using as replacement.

I got a new to me m4700 and the fans are constantly on.

Speccy is listing temperatures hovering around 95c for cpu and 80c for motherboard.

performance wise everything seems to be in check, but the fans are are 24/7.

It is rather difficult to get really bad paste these days unless you go for super cheap. IC diamond is a personal favorite, honestly, Arctic Silver, MX-4, etc. are all decent options. Make sure the heatsinks are clean as well.
