Hi guys, i have a very unusual issue with my M4600.

I tried booting it (unplugged, running on battery) and both fans spun up, lights came on for a few seconds, then it all stopped. Not the most unusual thing in the world. I've e seen that happen before on this laptop and others.

Then i tried booting it again, only the fan on the right spins up, the caps lock and the power lights are on and the fan spins for about 20 seconds until it stops. This can't be stopped by holding the power button, the only way to stop it is to let the 20 seconds run up or cut the power to the laptop.

When i plug the power adapter in, instantly the same thing happens, I don't even have to press the power button, and at the end of the 20 seconds it stops and starts again (I haven't left it in to see how many times it would happen in its own).

I've tried all combinations of removing ram, hdds and the cmos battery and the same thing happens every time, also there were no beeps for the missing ram.

I'm clueless. Anyone have any ideas?

If you hold down the "D" key when you power it on, does it run through the display test? (Alternating colors on the screen.)

Not sure what this will solve... Just trying to figure out how dead it is I guess.

Nothing happens. I figured it was dead but hoped there was hope.

I wanted a 7520 or whatever it's replacement will be (7530?), but didn't expect to actually need one so soon. Gonna have to start a GoFundMe, haha.
