Hello, I just received my m4600 from the Dell outlet. Unfortunately they didn't have Dell Backup and Recovery Manager Installed and when I installed the app from Dell Support I get all kinds of errors on startup and it is stuck "Updating Files".

What I was trying to do was create a factory restore disk so I could transfer my OS from the 750 Gig HDD to my 128 Msata drive.

I would like any advice as to how I can do this. I tried just using the the Windows Disk and uploading drivers from Dell Support, but it seemed that many drivers did not work. Also the screen and track pad did not work "properly".

I have not used cloning software before and would like to know if that would work, if so, how I go about it.

Thanks to all for any help,

It's much easier to use Ghost 11.0 to do disk clone, though you may also use the .wim file in recovery partition.

Thanks for the reply, I discovered that not all the drivers had been installed on my laptop. Used DBRM to create factory restore disks and it worked great.

I am loving this M4600 so much, I have convinced my employer to purchase another one:)
