    I replaced my i5 with a 2760QM in a M4600. Here are details of motherboard. Hope you get it to work!

    I was trying to add a jpeg with info from cpu-z but was not able to.

    You might have fallen foul of an anti-spammer measure. The system isn't clever enough to differentiate between them and genuine non-spammer newbies so all have some restricted rights.

    I suppose that means you did have the CMOS battery disconnected, and therefore the CMOS was fully reset?
