Do you have another Windows install on the HDD, check your boot order as well and make sure the mSATA has priority over the HDD.

Yeah, I did all that. I found the "fix" was to enable RAID for the SATA controller. My Win7 install would not boot after that. It tried and immediately blue screened. But it was progress because I couldn't even get into the BIOS with both drives installed before I enabled RAID.

I left the disks in a non-RAID configuration (RAID enabled, but the disks not configured as a RAID array) and was able to install Win7 on the mSATA drive. w00t!

The original HDD remains as it was and is visible to the new Win7 install.

BTW, a 8GB x 2 RAM upgrade does not work on a Dual Core. Double bummer.

If your hard drive has windows 7 installed on it also, you will not be able to boot with the ssd. Retrieve all the files you need from the hard drive and format it

I have it working now with both drives. I did not format the 320GB HDD. This is what I did.

Hit F12 to get into the BIOS/Boot options.
Configure the SATA for RAID use, but leave the disks non-RAIDed.
Select the mSATA as the BOOT device.

The mSATA will boot right into Win7 with no issues. The 320GB is the slave.

If I want to boot back into the 320GB, I just disable RAID and select the 320GB as the boot device. The mSATA is then the slave. This is a really nice option for me because I am still migrating my business software.

The reason I have to change the SATA back to non-RAID to boot the 320GB is because the 320GB will not boot my old Win7 installation when the SATA is configured for RAID mode.

I had originally installed Win7 on the mSATA in non-RAID mode. It would not boot when I switched the SATA to RAID mode in the BIOS. The mSATA had to be formatted and Win7 reinstalled while the SATA was configured for RAID.
