    Hi

was reading that some of the thinkpads, like the x200 already have a cellular antenna installed, even if you dont configure it with 3g/hsdpa etc....

so all you need to do is pop in a WWAN card. Is this the case with the m4400? if so, im gonna hunt for one!

all the m4400 and m2400 I've seen have the antennas installed.

Heck - even my xps 1330 and D430 have them in - seems standard on all WWAN capable dells - with the exception of the mini 9 that is.

best way to check is to open her up :) check the WWAN slot to see if the Cable antennas are there.

on the M4400 -turn it upside down - remove the base plate- its held in place by one screw in the middle

Look of the Empty Mini PCI E port - the one Labeled WWAN - there should be 2 antenna cables there - they should be one white and one black cables - the ends (where they would connect to the card) may be in little clear plastic tubes.
