Yup higher Hz is higher quality, you shouldn't really do anything under 44.100 which is cd quality.

Lower latency is a lower delay in hitting a key and hearing what you play. 15ms is still fine but it's a bit disappointing really...you should be able to set it at 6ms easily. Try to not run too many other apps and such when running KP.

And finally it could have to do with which OS you are running, the more resources the OS uses, the less there's available for audio processing. I have no experience with Vista for audio as i have a separate XP install just for audio. On that i can run quite of lot on 96000hz with latency at 8ms or so...different soundcard however but that doesn't really matter in this case.

You should be able to run it with lower latency but if that doesn't work just set it at whatever works....i don't think you'll have to set the latency higher later on because the card gets worse somehow but keep an eye out for it and if it does just send the card back.

I'm using 64bit Ultimate, by the way. Both times I tested KP I didn't have any other windows or things running, I've still to find out what caused the quality to drop.

I'll keep that last point in mind. Thanks for the tips LP!

Oh another thing, I just got a sweet portable BlueTooth headset but the Indigo obviously doesn't connect to a USB powered BlueTooth connection - would I be able to route the audio from the Indigo somehow to the headset?

Hmmm i think not actually, the signal goes directly out of your laptop. Same reason why you can't use your internal speakers with the indigo.
