I happen to have two M4400's on me, both have the RGB-LED. Figured I'd take some pictures to compare the bleed on both backlight's. The one on the left was delivered this week and the one on the right was delivered two months ago. Curious, other CCFL or RGB-LED M4400 owners, do you find your bleed patterns similar?

Yeah the 2CCFL has the same issue though this looks even worse! You have the brightness at 100% in the pics right? I don't really notice it in normal screens windows at a normal brightness though, usually have it at 50%.

    Hi Hardway,

Yes I did and the bleed is almost non-notable anymore - even on black.

But I noticed another problem. The contrast at first seemed better as well but it seems like the blacklevels are especially wrong grey-differences turn out to be way of sometimes. Somehow the blacks seem to be more washed out now after just a moth of use.

In addition to that it turned yellow for a few seconds while traveling a few days ago, due to sunlighting shining on my display.

My gosh I'm never going to buy such a new technology again.

I'll try to calibrate it with an One-Eye Densitometer soon, and will inform you about the results.

What are people's opinions on the RGB-LED vs CCFL options on the M4400, then? It sounds like some people, at least, might prefer CCFL.

Booth of them suck mainly due to low quality panel with bad black levels is what I can say till now. (for professional graphic work that is)

I'll post you my opinion after trying to calibrate with a high grade professional calibrator, as written in my post above.

The 2CCFL is matte versus semi-gloss on the RGB-LED. Matte alone is reason enough for some to stick to 2CCFL. Colors on the RGB-LED are absolutely stunning but saturation levels seem high. I haven't calibrated mine but I intend to do so. I would definitely pick RGB-LED again.

Samsung mostly I believe; both M4400's I have are equipped the SEC5443 panel.

Is the RGB-LED screen lighter, thinner, and/or more battery efficient than the CCFL?
