    Greetings, Everyone.

If your still enjoying the unique staying power of the 07'- 08'
    Dell M4400 Precision Notebook Workstation..,

Then you're likely aware it's almost in it's 8th year running Win 10., If you desire.
    That's another the thread.
    On a Budget?
Who wouldn't like a used $2200 Workstation at this level? And for average $150.,
Nearly fully loaded. Always expect a CPU and RAM to be the last upgrade at that price.

    Recently dropped from support.,
Finding a solution for one remaining issue comes to bare.,
    And then some.
A Throttling issue with PowerMizer., Well documented. While incomplete with real solutions.
    Case in point...
    "
Never showing a "proven" example/remedy on the M4400, itself."

Maybe this is all I had to say...
How do you disable PowerMizer on the Dell Precision M4400?

Having just discovered that other Laptops of the same Ara, possessed these power
saving tech apps... The possibility that BSOD may be related to "proper use" of
    power settings,
etc... I set out to find more on this.

BTW.., By my simply choosing the "performance" setting in bios and system's
    "Power Management"
settings, I found it doesn't seem to effect the throttling
    process
    when desired. Confirmed by GPU-Z.
Dell Control Point, Aero, and ACPI may play apart in this...

    And still researching.

With the dedicated existence of, PowerMizer.,
    http://www.nvidia.com/object/feature_powermizer.html
And it's embedded throttling app in the M4400's Nvidia GPU itself... Getting complete
    control is uncertain.
    With
other posted examples of PowerMizer disablement on machines, now
    "proven"
    out there...
The M4400 is the one that needs some attention here.

    Links Below...
I've placed some links from past posts... first link suggested link by ExParrot.,
And searched out by UncleSpam. Many thanks to them for their initial help in the matter.

    Related Links...
Links to threads related to handling PowerMizer with screen shots, performance and
monitoring apps, and printout data are posted for a start... Already being helpful
    to the bigger picture.
Trending in 2008., This issue gained attention quickly at first, hitting the site
with submitted workarounds to inf. files and registry edits.
    With
desired results for some happy posters "on their other machines."

Still, more chimed in, "throwing in the towel., Possibly due to the lack of sureness in
applying the process. Unwilling to tamper with unfamiliar registry edits, and so on.
    During all that...
Nothing specific about the M4400's need for a fix.

    Hopefully..,
