Mine is still on order, but after reading through the owners lounge (which is scary :), I thought this thread might be useful to some.

My Asus C90s has many reported problems, although mine has been problem free so I believe much of it is luck of the draw.

Please post your positive experiences here with the beast. :D

    Positive Experiences...

Opening up HL2: E2 and realizing the FPS w/ maxed settings was above 70 on default GPU clocks.

The keyboard backlight, that has it's mind, which often appears bright as hell when it wants to, and at other times, regular.

The LED WXGA+ LCD, which is extremely bright on max'd brightness. Taking to class everyday, I have to turn down my screen to match everyone elses when the professor shuts the lights off for presentations lol.

I haven't had any stability or performance related problems with mine at all, have had it since the 28th August.

The standout for me is the screen, have done a pile of gaming and cad work and its been great for what it is,battery life is very good [although usually use main's],its is very quiet and cool when not gaming [or using high cpu load only]

You can always return it within the satisfaction period if your not happy.

I have a few things that I am not happy with [I'm quite hard to please],but not enough to stop me keeping it.;)

Which BIOS works best for you? I use the lastest one on my Asus, but other say it causes problems...so I guess it's different for different people but I don't see how that could be?

BIOS A06 and later pretty much cause problems with everyone.....stick with A02 or A03, smooth sailing with those

    Hi everyone,

I ordered my M4400 on december the 4th, and it arrived today. So far I have been using it for about five hours and have not experienced any problems. I have not been able to make my FX1700m clock down. BIOS is A09.

I would say it was well worth the money. There are some minor things that are a bit disappointing. The chassis is solid but not as rock-solid as the term "magnesium alloy" suggests, the fans are getting too loud under load (it's a loud but not an annoying noise) and the speakers are a shame, but the RGBLED screen, the backlit well-built keyboard and the support from Dell (which I experienced as being outstanding so far) more than make up for that.

However, remember that my opinion may change during the next few days. If so, I will let you know by editing this post and notifying you of that via a new post at the end of this thread if neccessary.

    So long,

    Christoph
