    Hi everyone,

    question:

Will parts for the m4400 be likely to be available at some point on ebay or other shops? Not talking about the usual upgrades but more specifically LCD and LCD lid and such.

reason for asking. Already wrote about how dissatisfied i am with the quality of the SEC5443 (samsung) 2CCFL wuxga on the m4400 and Dell finally offered to give me a refund. Now here's the options i see.

    1. Go for the refund, wait untill the RGB LCD is available and place new order then.
problem with this is that it's not certain how long that will be, i might end up reordering the same config again but then maybe not with the same discount i had now, don't know if they'll be as friendly second time 'round ;)

    2. Keep my current system and try to live with the screen as is 'till it gets available as loose part. I'd probably also need to get a diff lid because the WLED screens also have a thinner lid, right?

I don't have any expierence with this but have seen spare parts online for other Dell series so...

    please advise

I'd return it if you're unhappy. Odds are that the prices will only drop as time goes on so unless you got some monster deal you'll probably do better later.

Yeah they might, although what about the instant savings that are active now through the website?

But question is if aftermarket is possible?
