    Hi,

Just got my M2400 today :)

But the best resolution of 1440 by 900 is too small for me ( it's a bit like my X61 resolution). :(

    Switched to 1024 by 768.
Any suggestion to make it better ( icons, words etc.. ) ?

I would like to say the build quality is really good except that the back cover is not assembled properly ( leaving a small gap near the edge). I have to close it up after i upgraded the ram to 4GB.

Currently, i owned a lenovo X61 ( using lenovo T61 in office). No complain so far.

BTW, really like the backlite keyboard.

    Regards,

    Jon Lau

I thought my eyes were bad! Try increasing the font size: Right click on the desktop then select personalize, then select Adjust font size (DPI) and select 120DPI.

That's the best fix provided within Windows. 120DPI is giving you the equivalent of 1152 x 720 which is bigger than 1280 x 800. You can try an even bigger DPI as a custom setting but there can be formatting problems when you don't use one of the standard DPI settings. Within your web browser you can set a minimum font size (I use 12pt).

Somewhere there's also a setting to increase the icon size. Have a look under the Window Color and Appearance options. Also look in the Accessories folder for the Ease of Access options.

Outside of Windows it may be time to invest in some (new) spectacles to improve your reading vision.

I feel more comforted with my decision of 1280x800 now. I may miss the LED backlight, but Vista's scaling it rather annoying. Granted, it is better than XP's, but still is annoying.

    Any pictures to share?

I plan to use external monitor myself as well as increased DPI when hitting the road.
