A05 Bios is also available for the E6400 and after installing it, I'm somewhat optimistic :) The performance "seems" to be better and also my audio problems disappeared. I'll try to do some "acid tests" later today..

yep A06 for M2400 is available

    Fixes/Enhancements
    ------------------
    1. Added support for Intel(R) vPro(TM) configurations.
    2. Fixed issue where USB PowerShare might keep a device powered when entering Standby.
    3. Improved the discharge algorithm for systems with two batteries.
    4. Fixed low performance issue in XP64 with 8GB memory after S3 resume.
    5. Added SMBIOS support for reading/writing Password Changes option.

Getting a little concerned - so many bios'es in so few days....

I still think my areo performance is pants....

will flash and see if there are *any* improvements....

It is much better to see frequent BIOS updates with incremental fixes than wait a long time for one with lots of fixes.

The updates can have unexpected side-effects which are easier to debug if only a few changes are included.
