Does anyone else have a low wireless connection speed with their dell latitude e6400? I have full signal strength and yet the speed is only 5.5 mbps. All the other computers/laptops in the house that uses the wireless gets 54 mbps while my latitude gets 5.5 and sometimes it will go up to 9 and down to 6 or 2 and it's just not constant. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I agree with MD on this one. You definitely need to check what type of properties that your wireless card has. As I recall, I believe this Dell has either one of these cards:

    Dell Wireless 1397 (802.11g)
    Dell Wireless 1510 (802.11a/g/n 2x2)
    Intel® WiFi Link 5100 [802.11a/g/n (1x2)]
    Intel WiFi Link 5300 [802.11a/g/n (3x3)

Try looking up the different connection speeds for the one you have and make sure that your router is compatible.

Also, make sure that the E6400's software is not reporting MB (megabytes) when the others are reporting Mb (megabits). Where are you reading the connection speed?
