    Hi guys,

I've been researching the Lattitude E4200 and was wondering if people could chime in with more information about the screens available on the E4200. I know that for the E6400, there is a lot of talk about screens, but it seems like there isn't for the E4200. I've read the few posts that there are regarding the two options that are available: Toshiba and Samsung.

Is there a general consensus of which one is higher quality? Does anyone have side by side comparison pictures? The information that I've read through is pretty scant in terms of not having many responses.

Thanks in advance for any light you guys can shed on this!:)

    Compared against a HP LP3065, S-IPS screen

    Dell 2007FP, PVA screen

    NEC 20WMGX2, S-IPS screen
    MacBook Pro, Samsung TN screen

Viewing angle is ok vertically and good horizontally. A calibration will probably do wonders to the color as it is a bit cold and lacks the contrast of the desktop screens. Overall I am satisfied with it. Coming from a uMB screen anything is better really.

Thanks for doing that lixuelai. I agree with you, I think some calibration would help the colors.

Did you find out what panel it is?

Well there goes that myth of Tosh vs. Sammy. They are probably both equally good need to be calibrated is all.
