Latitude Z - 3.5 hard drives?

    Can't locate info on the "mobility SSD" drives.

    Are they 2.5 or 3.5? 1.8?

    All laptop drives are 2.5". Desktop drives are 3.5", whereas some portable devices (like the iPod Classic) use 1.8" drives.

    There are laptops that use 1.8" drives. Latitude E4200 and XT2 to name a few. I'd imagine that the Z is also one of these, though without a proper service manual, it's hard to tell.

    I think a Dell rep stated (in this forum) that they weren't any of the above sizes, but one of Samsung's smaller formats (their slim SSD is smaller than a 1.8" drive).
