Will I be disadvantaged by not receiving Latitude ON if I purchase my new Latitude E series laptop now instead of when they release the software? I'm wondering if I can talk it over with a rep to receive the software or purchase it seperately later when it is released, since they are having a Latitude sale in Australia at the moment. What to do?

As a side note, does anyone know why Dell Australia customisation page for the Latitudes lacks so many items it becomes pointless in trying to customise your own system? Major ones missing are LED screen, backlit keyboard, bluetooth and a couple others. What's the point of that?

You should be fine with the Latitude ON thing. Talk to the rep, from what I've heard though, you should get it if you purchase now. As for the other options, Australia tends to get stuff pretty late...

That's true. And overpriced of course! I talked to the rep today and she didn't even know what Latitude ON was. Very sad. Might try and call again and see if there are more knowledgeable salespeople there.
