I discovered after receiving my E4300 that Latitude On only works if you use Microsoft Outlook. What a ripoff. There was no mention of this requirement in all the before launch marketing hype about Latitude On. I wrote the VP of Marketing to complain about deceptive marketing practices and got a call from some guy who knew absolutely nothing about Latitude ON. I don't use MS Outlook and don't intend to be forced to switch. Without Latitude ON the E4300 is just a very ordinary laptop. It certainly is my last Dell purchase.

I was rather disappointing by the reviews I read about it. Hopefully it's work in progress. The good news is that there are other other alternatives on the rise like HyperSpace. Another is gOS Cloud which is yet to be released.

I suppose you're talking about On Reader feature, which is able to read emails via MS Exchange ?
That was decribed in detail by Dell. Look Dell description about Latitude On technology
Anyway, I think it would be possible to use some other email software to read MS Exchange...
Here you can find small tutorial how to set non-outlook e-mail software to read MS exchange serwer. tutorial
