    There are updates to Roxio Create DE and Roxio Update Manager. The latest updates are from October 2008. Maybe they would solve the problem?
    Or can you not run Update Manager at all?

    hi johnm i can only find a version of webcam central from 2007 do you have an updated version , the one im downloading is 140mb am i on the right tracks here ?

    That one doesn't work with new new Latitude series unless you have better luck than I. Tried it this morning and it ways there is no Web cam present.

    lol i was just coming on here to post that very same response c14rider !

    it keeps telling my my driver isnt installed when it clearly is .... oh the joys ! :)

    My E6400 came with a CD marked "For Reinstalling Dell Webcam Central for Business". I believe this is a Dell-branded version of some webcom software from Creative. The update John Ratsey is talking about (WebCam software) is an update to Dell Webcam Central and it requires the original version to be installed first.

    Install in this order:
    1. Creative Labs Integrated Webcam driver. Download from Dell.
    2. Dell Webcam Central for Business. Install from CD supplied with computer.
    3. WebCam software (update to Webcam Central). Download from Dell.

    I have tried the latest version and it is a nice addition to get to a preview window.

    cheers orjan i will give that a go i will have to fig out the box for the cd to get the webcam central for business as iv put it away for safe keeping
    i usually image my cd's and keep them on my backup drives but was too excited to get playing with this new toy i forgot

    im gonna vlite my copy of vista and update it and strip out the services and crap i never use and have a nice clean install and set everything up then make an image of the drive for future playing around if i mess up while fiddling around

    great turnsd out the loft has been cleared out for insulation and so with it went my box and all the cds that came with it i am fuming !!!!!

    is there any links to download the dell webcam central for business as i cant seem to find it :(

    i just downloaded the new one...it should be on the driver page! maybe look under precision if you cant find under latitude?
