    You should not need a razor unless you are trying to separate the LCD from the glass (and in that case you'd better have a heat gun or a hair dryer and a lot of patience). The LCD and glass together should separate from the lid by (probably pretty stiff) clips. If you're breaking out the razor it's not going to go back together without some E6000 or similar glass compatible adhesive. In terms of compatibility you'd have to compare the specs for the individual LCDs, I don't know offhand if anyone has done that swap.
