Wonder if it is possiable to upgrade to?

GM45 Chipset via wiki. Says 8GB max.

Just pick this laptop for 40$. Screen is broken.
Try to use as minecraft server. But it keep saying the server is overload with no players.

    Either its HDD or Memory.

    Thanks in advance.

8 GB of DDR2 is gonna be pretty expensive, what is the size of the HDD?

It should take 8GB, but as mentioned, it's not cheap.

8GB is the max supported but as said earlier, it's very expensive. ($130+)

However, if you can fix the whole computer up with screen and 8gb of ram all under $250 total, it would definitely be worth it.

    130$ doesn't sound so bad.

    The 250$ goal sounds good.

    It's 500GB Seagate 5400rpm

It has screen that only the top portion works.
Keyboard is missing middle mouse and right (? /) Key
    Also Dead battery.

I'm really only interested fixing these if I have to. I want to run a minecraft server/ a small dayz server for me and friends.

Right now I remote connect to do everything. So I really don't need screen or keyboard or battery.
    Since it's always plugged in.

But even with no one in the minecraft server is says that either the time has change or is overload.

    Ideas?

I'd estimate 2x4 GB to be more along the lines of 170-200 new.
