My Latitude e5500 stopped recognizing AC adapters (I've tried several). I'm going to mess around and try to fix it, but it's my mission-critical dev machine, so I want to get a new mobo for it in the meantime.

I was going to just buy a straight replacement off eBay, but I can't find a parts list. The repair manual supplied by Dell is actually for the e5400. Which makes me wonder if I can put something newer/better in the e5500 case.
The only mobos that I know for certain will work are model numbers X704K and X705K.

    My questions:
    1. Will mobos for any other model fit in an e5500? (without modding the case)
    2. Does anyone have the parts list for the e5500?
