Received a new palm rest. Installed palm rest. Keyboard backlight does not work any longer.

Reseated keyboard multiple times and reseated all ribbon cables connecting to the motherboard. Checked BIOS - keyboard backlight is enabled. Tried FN + right arrow key to enable/disable. Still does not work.

Any ideas as to what else I can try? Does anyone know exactly which ribbon cable is responsible for the backlight? I'm thinking it is the one to the left of the bluetooth cable, but am not 100% certain.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Check if all the palmrest cables are connected. Since the keyboard connector is on the palmrest, it's possible that the connector is defective and you will need another palmrest.
