The new colors Regal Red and Regatta Blue are now available at Dell's website for the Latitude E4300. E6400 and E6500. The E4200 does not show the option as of yet, but that will surely be remedied soon. They seem to come with a hefty increase in price however...

I love the blue, but the configuration that I used for my black one is now $150.00 more from when I have bought it...

The colored models are spec'd higher than the other models. For example, with the E4300, you can only get the 2.4GHz CPU and the webcam is an added by default but you can change to WWAN. Only having taken a quick look, those two options would add $80 to the build cost of the middle/higher black model on the US Small business site. So the coloring adds about 10% premium on the E4300.

Personally, I'd prefer the nondescript black model.

The Red and Blue are too bright for my tastes. Although I already have my black, if I could choose between the black, blue and red, I'd still take the black.

I agree. I think the bright colors take away from the simple elegance of the E-series.

Yup, that's one of the reasons I really like Thinkpads. The Latitude D series was ok, but I don't really like the silver/gray color scheme. The E series looks much better IMO.

I was wondering if anyone who bought the Blue model to post some pictures of it. I couldn't find any good pictures on Dell's website.

    Thanks
