Dell doesn't appear to offer Latitude E-Series with Windows Vista Home Premium. I'm considering buying one of the new Latitudes with Windows Vista Home Basic and then getting Microsoft's Home Basic to Home Premium upgrade ($80 cheaper than the Vista Ultimate option offered by Dell). Is that an easy upgrade, or am I going to have to reinstall a bunch of drivers?

There shouldn't be any different drivers. Vista is Vista whichever version. The driver set is the same. Extra money just gets more features enabled within Vista.
