    Hello,

I plan on getting the Latitude D630 and hoping to use the E-Port Plus to run dual monitors.

    I have two 24" Dell 2408WFP monitors.

My question is, will I be able to run the two 24" monitors using the E-port plus with the mentioned laptop? I want to have two monitors to put stuff on both side on my desktop.

If someone can confirm with me I am able to do this, I am going to order the laptop and the E-port.

    Thanks

The docking station is not compatible.

Thanks, just found that out. What do you recommend as a Dell laptop that does support the E-port plus?

I want to get a laptop that will enable me to run two external monitors, but not sure what my options are to making this work.

I'm a huge fan of the E6400 myself. Depending on your needs though you might find yourself preferring the 15.4" E6500, or 13.3" E4300, or 12.1" E4200. The E6400 seems to have the right mix of size, features, and price.

The E5400 and E5500 support the docking station as well, but they don't have the same build quality as "budget" business notebooks.

the D630 will support dual monitors if you use the D series dock and not the E-series. You hook up the 1st monitor with DVI, the 2nd with VGA.
