I have a user who has a Latitude D620 laptop. They use a docking station and have a second monitor attached to it. They recently docked their laptop to a different docking station and now the laptop doesn't work in their own docking station. We've tried function "F8" to energize the monitor, but that didn't work. We've connected the monitor directly to the laptop which works, but the user wants DVI and not VGA. We've tried recreating the docked profile which doesn't work. We've tried a different dock completely which also doesn't work. Does anyone know any other solutions we can try? I tried looking on Dell's forums but I couldn't find anything relevant to this. Thanks for your help!

Have you tried messing with the Nvidia/Intel control panels or the Display Properties menu(s)? I usually use those to enable/disable external monitors on my own D-Dock. There's no reason the hotkeys shouldn't work, though. Maybe try a system restore or even a clean install? The latter is a bit extreme though...

If this is running Vista, I've heard of some problems with Vista and the D-Dock; you may want to do a search for more info.
