Latitude 15 5000 Series?

    Whats the scoop on the Latitude 15 5000 Series? I searched but don't see a thread for it here.

    Did it just come out? Does nobody want one?

    I think people prefer the Latitude 6 Series (6540). It has more metal than the 5000 but they are very similar physically. The 6 series should also have higher voltage M-series intel chips compared to the U series of the 5000. Also if i remember correctly the 5000 has AC wifi while the 6 series does not. I think the 5000 is a bit newer in that regard.

    Got one (E5540) three days ago, so far very nice. Built quality is fine, FHD display is bright and nice, viewing angles are good. With the lowest i3 CPU and SSD harddrive it performs well for a general user (browsing, watching videos), performance demanding user should consider 6000 series machine though. Speakers are good for a laptop. So far it is very quiet, inaudible almost sll the time.

    Models with both Express card and discrete graphics don't have mSata.
