    Hello,
like in several threads mentioned installing not the DELL-WLAn drivers but the broadcom Mini-1510 (http://ftp.us.dell.com/network/R212337.EXE) reduces the latency/crackling sound problem.
This worked also on my E6500, so I'm very happy.
I also tried to change hd from IRRT to AHCI, disabling DELL WLAn 802.11a, installing Matirx driver 8.2 or 8.8 and so on. But it solved the problem not completely.
Now I have 8.8 Matrix and broadcom Mini-1510 driver on it and it works quite fine.

now the "but": the "DELL Controlpoint Connection Manager" don't start anymore.
That's quite sad, cause I also would like to use UMTS which is controled and could be started with the Connection Manager.

Do anyone who used already the broadcom drivers get the Connection Manager running?

    Thanks,
    Andi

I uninstalled the dell wireless thing and also just used default windows. Now no more latency!

Just a quick question: what's the default windows driver for this card?
Vista-32 don't provide me with a default one once I uninstalled this card.

Its was just a general broadcom driver. I forgot where I got it. I found it on some forums with a google search.I ended up replacing the driver with the Broadcom Wlan utility cause I couldn't get the Wlan to work in power saving mode.
