Thanks I'll keep that handy! I appreciate it!

Well that is a bit of an inconvenience :p Should I just go posting around on things that interest me on here until I get my post count up or what?

My ATG? Haha I got it used from Ebay so VERY cheap. Like less than $300 we talking here. (But adding better CPU, SSD, 8gb RAM, you know) I deliberately bought one with at least one year warranty left.

I am swapping with the i7 820QM quad which is fast enough for me to last long enough. It is somewhat a little faster if not at least similar to high end latter generation dual cores. So it made sense for me to go with the E6410 series.

ATG and the regular latitudes use the same chassis and generally other parts. But the screen is heavily fortified. It has shock mount on the 3 edges and just packs more protection on the lid part as well. And for this specific model, the hinge is actually different. It feels sturdier. I used the normal E6410 and man... The screen is very flimsy compared with the ATG.

I swapped with SSD as well so I can literally "throw" my laptop around, even with the heavy battery slice, but I am assured each time no harm will be done. It's great.

Haha damn. I was looking on eBay at some that were $1,000-2,000 just for refurbished ones. Not gonna lie they look pretty awesome in terms of ruggedness and durability.

By the way, I spoke with someone today on Dell's Live chat on their website, and they have an on site rep coming out to replace the entire lid and my DC in port :)

Good to hear they are repairing it man. Yeah sometimes you just need to talk to a different tech.

Still worried about what he's going to think when he takes the bezel off and sees the stripped out screw, but regardless I didn't do it and shouldn't be worrying about it anyways. Thanks for everything though!
