I love the way it looks and feels so far, but I think I have a problem.

    1. The screen is really dark. My current comp e1505 on the lowest setting is brighter than it. I tried messing with dcp to no avail, toggling on/off the ambient light sensor. When i press Fn+up arrow, it stays the same until about 5/8 of the way up the bar, then it actually gets darker! Unplugged is even darker
Could it be a driver issue? it also makes a wining noise on the lowest setting.

    2. Anything I should look for as far as things not working and such?

Number 1 is the main concern though...

any picture of the keyboard and stuff? i might buy an e4300 soon.. i want to know how it looks like and what are the features..

    what spec is yours?
and i think that you might have got a faulty screen if it isn't bright.

yes it can be a driver issue. I had a similar problem where i couldn't adjust my brightness because of a crappy driver. update and see if it helps.

I think it was 789 before. Ya, I was on the phone with them, but I have to go to work now so I had to end it

I'll try that tonight too. Thats a funny story though...I can't find my router password lol. So I'll either have to restart, or jsut find it.

Check the brightness setting in the BIOS. Set both battery and AC brightness to max. Then see how it looks while still in the BIOS. That will eliminate any OS- or driver-related unknowns.
