Just got a Dell D630 - good deal?

    I think you did very good. As I said I was looking at D630s and $150 will buy you a "C" grade used model that will work, but has obvious cosmetic issues.

    A really good "B" grade is closer to $200 and an "A" grade is more like $225.

    Dell is asking and getting more than that for their refurbs, so there is still an obvious market out there.

    For my needs, I found out that Dell sells a Legacy port adapter for the E series, which adds a hardware serial port among others. It's only $25 for a lightly used example, so I may go that route.
