Hi guys, i tried to find my answers but couldn't with the search,

I just bought DELL VOSTRO 3360,
i5 with 8GB ram, i would like to know please where can i check if my computer use 4GBx2 OR 8GBx1
any tools i can check that ? i would like to add 1 more slot of 8GB hope i can do it.

second, i found on task manager : Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology which is taking like 600MB ram always,
i saw this tool is helping with something called RAID, is that critical for running windows 8?

    thank you!

Variety of ways to do that:

    1) You can look up your system configuration on the Dell website using your service tag/express service code. The list is kind of cryptic, but you can usually figure it out.
    2) Use a software tool like HWMonitor. That'll tell you if the slots are populated, etc.
    3) just open the bottom cover and visually inspect.

Pretty sure it's not critical, but you may or may not break anything depending on how you get rid of it.

Do not remove the intel software if you have a mSATA cache drive...
