Ive got an E6400 with docking station and two external Dell P2211H monitors.
I have my power settings turning off my screen after 5 minutes.

For some odd reason after they get turned off by my laptop after 5 minutes, the monitors just come back on. Only to get shut off again 5 minutes later...

This did not happen with my older monitors. What could be causing this?

Any issues with the trackpad or touchpoint stick that you are aware of?

None that I am aware of, no.
    Why do you ask?

Check for monitor drivers, download them from Dell's website and see if it helps. Usually it fixes strange monitor problems.

I just downloaded the latest driver which unzipped some files to my c drive but it doesn't appear to have any executable files?

    Was unzipping the drive enough?

EDIT: I uninstalled the existing driver and replaced it and it appears to have worked! Why do I always forget to do the simplest thing first...which is trying to just update the drivers?

    Hopefully this will stick.

I think monitor drivers have to be installed manually, but sometimes they are pushed through Windows Update as optional. Glad to hear that it's fixed. ;)
