Is this a good price for a loaded M4800?

    Hey Guys,
Replacing my 7-year old Dell precision M6300. That thing was a beast and was an excellent value when I got it (around $1,600 new fully maxed).

I am now looking at a Dell M4800 to replace it. The size and weight of the M6300 was killing me, as I travel alot, and the M4800's QHD+ Screen looks amazing, especially since I've heard that it can be read in sunlight. I priced the system out, applied the maximum discounts and talked to a Dell sales rep. He said that I am "basically getting it for $3 over cost" (yeah right) with the specs as follows:
1 Dell Precision M4800 BTX Base
    1 8GB (2x4GB) 1600MHz DDR3L
1 Internal English Backlit Dual Pointing Keyboard

The quoted price was $1,871. I priced a Lenovo W540 for cheaper than that without discounts, which leads me to believe the Dell should be cheaper. Can I do better on the M4800? Or is this a pretty good deal? What did everyone else get their M4800 for?
