Is the WUXGA LCD on E6500 2 CCFL ?

    Looks like dell isnt realeasing the RGBLED on the m4400 anytime soon :( I may hae to go with the e6500.

    I'm not sure if the dual-lamp screen is available yet, the one on the site (both E6500/M4400) has the same price as the average 200 nits screen offered for the D830, which makes it suspicious, then there are threads like this one...

    Otherwise, the specs look great on paper, but call them and make sure you get exactly the 2CCFL screen.

    The RGBLED may worth waiting or may not depending on what screen technology it uses, which is still something remains to be seen.

    The RGB-LED seems to have a truelight finish. In terms of brightness the 2ccfl should be at least as bright as the LED backlight. So if you don't need the power efficiency of the LED backlight, the 2ccfl display should be the better deal!

    Wont the RGBLED have better color contrast and reproduction ?

    Now you want me to play the guessing game or what?

    RGBLED backlighting offers a higher color gamut, but if they still use TN panels, I'm not sure if there will be a real advantage of that.
