Hi, I'm looking for a quad core chip for my machine and since qx9300 processor is still way overpriced and it can't be overclocked due to BIOS limitations, i think the 9200 model is better deal. But this processor seems still rare to find, there are very few ones on ebay . Also there are compatibility problems with Dell M4400 according to sellers. For example look at this:

    http://cgi.ebay.es/New-Intel-Quad-c...in_0?hash=item3a524e6ac4&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

Could anyone who tried this processor on Precision M4400 confirm this? Are there steppings that don't pose this problem?.
    Thanks in advance.

The Q9200s for sale are all engineering samples - the production model with S-spec SLB5H hasn't come out yet - which explains why they are 'rare', not to mention the compatibility issue. Right now your only choices for quad-core are the Q9000, Q9100 and QX9300. My genuine QX9300 was only $500 from eBay... looks like I got a good price!
