I'm hoping someone can help me out as I need to get another E6400 and many I see are the built in Graphics but mine had the Nvidia Quadro NVS 160M 256Mb.

I need to know basically if they are interchangeable IE: Can an E6400 with built in graphics accept the Nvidia graphics card and also, if I remove the Nvidia, will it then revert to the onboard graphics built in

I suppose the question is; do both E6400 with onboard graphics AND the E6400 with the Nvidia Card BOTH use the exact same motherboard?

Many thanks for your time and advice

    Regards

    Steve

    Hey man,

The Nvidia chip is soldered into the mobo.

You basically can only choose one: intel or Nvidia. If it comes with Nvidia, it will be using Nvidia even with Max Battery Life settings.
