    I bought a Vostro 1500 almost a year ago.

the first days it works properly, but after few days I start having problems trying to acces internet and freezing the explorer, most of the times I have to restart the computer but some times even with this procedure it is still so slow that I have to use another computer (I have a VIAO with XP) which always is much faster than the Vostro.
what can I do? install XP? reinstall vista?

    thanks

I recommend you glance at this thread if you haven't already. Also, you should use Firefox for your web browser if you don't already. See what that thread says about cleaning up your disk space... you may want to delete some restore points and free up A LOT of space, you should probably download JKDefrag and defragment your hard drive, maybe defrag your boot files as well, and oh yeah... you'd do well to install AdBlock Plus for Firefox.

I know that's a lot, and may seem complicated, but stuff like this will majorly help. What (if any) antivirus do you use? I recommend AVG 8 Free (with one or two modifications per this site), or Avira. Anyways... ask if you have questions!

    Cheers...
