installing Win 7 on my math teacher's Latitude D530

Basically, my math teacher uses an interwrite smartboard all the time and needs math handwriting recognition. So then I suggested putting Windows 7 on her laptop since it includes handwriting recognition for math equasions. (She might even use the Beta a little, but just for fun).

Now what I wanted to know is if there is absolutely anything that could go wrong with this plan, if windows 7 handwriting recognition is compatible with interwrite smartboards, and if the recognized text can be directly transfered to Microsoft word.

Um, first of all, is that her personal laptop? Just saying, the IT department won't like it very much if you tamper with their computer.....

Another issue, The D530 doesn't come equipped with hardware that can take advantage of touch. The smartboard software might not be compatible w/ Windows 7.

 

Windows 7 is beta right now. You should never use any beta software as a productive system, anything could go wrong. Be aware of that.
