    D610:
Is there anything better than the OEM 6-cell battery rated at: 53 WHr ?

My stock cell pack is in a sad shape, doesn't last long at all. Is it the 4-cell battery?

Who has the best price on the 6-cell battery?
    On dell it's $135.

    EDIT: DELL Latitude D610

Nothing higher than 53WHr, but you can get a media-bay battery that'll give you an additional [I think it's around 40WHr] of juice. Cheapest place to buy said batteries is probably eBay, but you'll want to make sure you're buying a genuine battery with some sort of guarantee that it'll be or work like new.

Even then, batteries are about the one think I wouldn't trust eBay to buy; getting one from Dell, despite the exorbitant price, is probably the safest bet.

I found an Ebay item that claims to be D610 battery:

Here is one from Dell site:

    http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/products/Power/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&cs=19&sku=312-0191

Given 53Whr and 6 cells at 3.7V, each one works out to 2400 mAh capacity.

I thought about rebuilding this cell pack with much higher capacity Panasonic cells, at 2900 mAh each but they are more expensive so it's not cost-effective (for me, anyway). Theoretically, you could make it a 3.7V*6*2900mAh = 64Whr cell pack. Not that much higher than the stock 53Whr.
