I just ordered an outlet M4400 with almost perfect specs, except it has 2GB ram... Of course I want 4 gigs- the question being should I just buy another 2GB stick, or is it important to have matching sticks for any reason?

Also, I noticed you can get a "Rendition by Crucial" DDR2 800 2GB module from newegg for $13.99!! Besides any potential warranty being through newegg as opposed to directly through Crucial- can anyone think of reasons to avoid "Rendition" RAM?

I can't wait for this laptop to arrive:biggrin:

cant say for sure, to be on the safe side its better to get a matched pair. would suck if you spent money on it and ended up getting blue screens/instability

So long as they are running a 800MHz a bank, you should be perfectly fine running mixed sticks. Crucial is a trusted company, but if you do want matching sticks, you can get great deals around this time by googling and checking out deal sub-forums in major forums (not just NewEgging). But if I had to NewEgg:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227251

$35 AR, free shipping, OCZ. Or even more clever would be to buy two Renditions, for $28 + shipping.
