    Hi, everyone

I guess I'm about to get a mobile workstation. I already got an M90 it is great. Only one dead/stuck pixel and the front panel silver button paint came off in a few month of usage. But I love it. So I am thinking of getting an M6400. Can you back me up on this one..?? Please if you own one tell me the pros and cons.. Have you noticed any Dead/stuck pixels. What about built quality, feel, comfort, performance, heat, cooling, fan noise, screen quality ( thinking of LEG or RGB LED).. Any creeking noise while opening the lid or holding or working on the laptop?? Any thing you can tell me about this beast of a machine will be a great help for me indeed.

My best regards to you all. You have always been such a wonderful help that I counted on.

The M6400 is one of the best notebooks I've seen. The RGB-LED screen is amazing, as is it's performance. You won't find a better workstation at the moment (alternatives are HP 8730w (no 2nd hdd, strange USB port location, battery drain) or the Lenovo W700 (a lot hugher than the M6400, worse screen, built in tablet and colorimeter)). I've seen 3 M6400 yet, none of them had any dead pixel.

Thank you so much for that. You really benefited me a lot. I too thought so. Is there any place, online store in the UK that can supply me with it faster than the Dell build time? I read here that someone got one from http://www.itcsales.co.uk/ but now they are out of stock. I am looking for the extreme quad core 2.53 GHz one..

Not sure, but if you don't mind buying a refurbished system, you can look in the Dell Outlet UK. You'll get it cheaper and help the environment too :)

    Agreed. Excellent system.

But early systems had multiple problems and even still there are strange things like impacted battery life with Powermiser not available under Vista. See recent posts in M6400 user thread.
