I've bought a Dell Inspiron 1520 exactly 1 year and 2 days ago and because I got a $200.00 gift card with my previous order I am ready to buy another lappy from Dell. I am very happy with my 1520 but going to give it to my parents so my first question - will my gift card expire on the last day of December 2008? on the card it says 12/08 but not actual date and I am assuming the gift card is good till last day of the month. Am I right or wrong about that ?

another question - is it make sense to buy now or wait till Cyber Monday? (last year somehow I got a better deal on my 1520 by bying it on November 10th)

and last question - I need more information about Dell Vostro 2510 Business Notebook. Is it the same as Dell Vostro 1510 and if not - what's the differences?

I've seen this add Dell posted about Vostro 2510 Business Notebook - $650 with Free Shipping

There are only TWO difference between the 251- and the 1510.

The Vostro 2510 has a BD Drive Option (+$500) and comes in Red.

Otherwise they are the same laptop.

I've got a Vostro 1510 as a replacement for my troublesome 1400 and I can say its great!

I will say the 1510 will probably run a bit warmer than your 1520, but its max temps are surprisingly low.

CPU Idles about 52-55 before the fan kicks on for 2-3s
    GPU Idles about 58-61

On Load, CPU = 60 max
On Load, GPU = 64 Max

It's also quite lightweight, compared to the EXTRA beefy 1520.

If you're looking for a slim, lightweight laptop, it'll fit the bill!
