and am cloning it to my WD Scorpio BLACK 320GB. i am leaving the original XP install on it and will hope for a noticeable speed increase over the Fujitsu 120GB.

I love the keyboard and the size of this computer. It lights up which I was not supposed to get, so WOW!

Screen is excellent. Not as heavy as my T61 so feels a little cheaper. Time will tell as I intend to actually use this laptop to get away from my desktop and be all mobile when I need to be. SSD as soon as they are affordable and actually work :)

I love the blue color. Wireless works good, and so far the whole computer is perfect. I would never know it was a refurb in any way. I am thinking of offering Dell a deal to buy a bunch of these so that there will be at least one place in town to get a good business class laptop. the drive it came with is encrypt able, so I guess the Scorpio will not be :) darn, as I think that could be very important and I wanted to try it out. I will keep the old drive as the Scorpio may be too hot or loud. The computer itself is very quiet with the original drive. Just the way I like it. Although in fairness, I have not had it cranking yet by any means. Next purchase a docking station with 2 DVI.

    That sounds very promising.

It would be useful to make a note of the power drain using the Fujitsu HDD (RMClock or MobileMeter will give this info) before you swap the HDDs. You can then compare it with the power drain when running the Scorpio under the same conditions.

MMM, did bnot think of that. Battery life is nice, but not a huge thing for me. In general, I have read that the Scorpio is pretty good all around. So, we'll see. SSD ASAP :)

Too tired for photos, maybe tomorrow. It is by FAR the lightest laptop I have ever had. Makes a big difference, bigger than one would think. More portable.

I do love the solid feeling of the Lenovo, though. I may keep it as a spare, because if I do move to a laptop/docking station scenario, a spare might not be a bad way to go :)
