How do you reset the CMOS on the Dell Latitude e6400?

I haven't found instructions despite some google searching.

Is it as simple as removing the battery for 10 minutes or can someone post detailed instructions re: jumpers or pins to reset?

some Dell system have a "Return to factory defaults" option by pressing "Alt+F" once you're in the F2 BIOS menu. Not sure it works for Latitudes... but you can try.

This page http://tinyurl.com/clrcmos at Dell's support site shows three ways of restoring the BIOS to defaults:

On the BIOS menu: One is "Maintenance" -> "Load Defaults" -> "Continue" -> "Save/Exit".
On the BIOS menu: The other is "Exit" -> "Load Factory Defaults" -> "Main" -> Set clock -> "Exit" -> "Save changes and exit"
    Alt+F

This is probably the best way to do it, but taking out the CMOS battery and letting it sit does the trick too.

There is no way to reset the Bios on the new Latitudes. Removing the power and PRAM battery does nothing. Everything in the Bios is contained in the EPROM flash chip and keyboard ROM chip. The E series uses a chip that cannot be reset by jumpers either.

Why do you need to reset the Bios? If you're trying to downgrade your Bios version, you can do so with software.
