The RGB screen should have edge-to-edge glass on it, which I believe means that even the bezel is going to be behind glass.

    Trying to find pictures though...

But it's an anti-glare (matte) version. so there is also a glass on it?

There is no glass on the matte version. The screen's colors should be very nice and close to a good quality desktop LCD monitor, such as the Dell 2408WFP or HP LP2475w/LP2275w. The contrast is much higher and may also appear oversaturated.

If you can't tell the difference, then you really shouldn't have paid more for that screen as you probably don't need it. I love the Dreamcolor display on my 8730w, which is the same screen you'd get in your M6400.

Dell is having manufacturing issues right now,all the orders with RGB E2E displays are getting incorrect screens. Dell sent me two laptops and both have a matt finish even though I ordered a RGB E2E Display. Also the viewing angles suck on the matt finish screens I received.

Press Windowskey+x simultaneously to open up the Windows Mobility Center. Put the brightness slider to the very right position. Using your mouse, pull the slider to the left as quick as possible. The display should change its color temporarily. If it does, it's an RGBLED. At least on my screen the effect is very noticeable.

A senior dell tech called me yesterday to figure out why i got wrong screens on two laptops. According to him the only matt WUXGA is a CFL Samsung display on the M6400. The only RGBLED on M6400 is the E2E display.
