    yea. its not worth going through so much hassle to "preserve" a battery.

    there was a thread discussing this a while ago, basically, the conclusion was, the best thing you can do is never let the battery go below 30% charge more than once or twice a year.. apparently completely draining your battery on a regular basis is the best way to make sure it dosent last longer than a year.

    anyway dell gave me a spare battery for free so i'm keeping that in storage and using the other battery constantly installed.
