Definitely it has faster reading and writing speed, but what about the heat and noise? Besides, I also heard that with a 7200rpm HDD the body of e6400 may even vibrate when in use. Can anyone tell whether or not all above is true?
    Thanks!

Depends on the actual model of the hard drive.

Not always true. Higher density 5400RPM drives can often outperform lower density 7200RPM drives in raw throughput. Access times and IO should almost always be faster on 7200RPM drives, but this too may not be absolute depending on platter configurations and the like.

And yes, there are particular drives which seem to make E6400 vibrate much. Not sure which drives these are, though.

He is referring to different models. For instance, Hitachi drives tend to give off more heat and vibration. It shouldn't really be a big problem, but if it does become annoying you can always improvise with some form of padding.

I have a 7200 RPM drive, not sure who makes it. But, it doesn't make any annoying noises or vibrations.

Just right click on C:\ and select Properties -> Hardware, you will see a model for the hard drive.
