For those who owns laptop like the dell precision series, when it is in the comp bag/case, whichever side facing down must be bearing the entire weight of the bulky/heavy body. So which orientation do you place your precision laptop in a carrying case/bag?

Technically, the side facing down isn't bearing the entire weight of the laptop because it's part of the body. It's the case (and your shoulder) that has to support the laptop, so it doesn't make a difference which way it's oriented.

Personally, I always insert my laptops back-first since the back is usually flat. If an extended battery sticks out, you will want to put it battery-up so that weight is better distributed. For tighter-fitting cases like sleeves, you may want to go thinner-side first.
